Step 6:  Write the purchase offer.
Step 7:  Remove contingencies.
Step 8:  Close.

Step 1:

Consider hiring a professional buyer’s agent to help you

Having the right agent on your side early in the process can give you a great advantage in buying a home. The right agent will help you determine your ability to buy a home, help you in determining the neighborhood and home features that are important to you, direct you to other real estate related professionals - such as mortgage brokers, attorneys, property inspectors - who will, with the agent you have chosen, act as your team in working to get the best deal for you and to protect you in the process.

Buying a home is generally the largest purchase you will ever make. One of the biggest mistakes homebuyers make is not having the right agent on their side, looking out for their best interests “at all times and in every situation”. As a result many homebuyers buy the wrong home and/or pay too much and/or end up with unexpected repairs.

For more information about choosing an agent go to the section titled, “How To Choose an Agent”.
